I am a native Washingtonian – Georgetown, Spring Valley, Wesley Heights, Berkley, American University Park, Glover Park, Alexandria, Arlington, McLean, Falls Church, Bethesda, Potomac and Southern Maryland (Charles County) — and 12th generation Marylander.  My mother’s family, through Sir George Calvert, Lord Baltimore, settled Maryland and Virginia in the 1600’s, over 380 years of family history.  I earned my J.D. degree from Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University and my B.A. degree from Saint Vincent College.  My extraordinary wife Maureen, a fifth generation Washingtonian, and I have four miraculous children and four delightful grandchildren who all live in the Washington area.
